I have made some more progress to being a full time vegetarian. All my breakfasts are now meat free, instead of 4 days a week and still have one day off which is meat free. I see it this way. I'm a vegetarian at least 1/3 of the week and hopefully by the end of the year I will be an full time vegetarian. I did buy the book Beginning Vegetarians for Dummies today. I'm a little more excited each day of being a full timer. My next step after being a full time vegetarian is a full time Vegan and enjoying all the benefits.

Congratulations, may your health remain good. Last night I met a lady who had been vegetarian for about 40 years; I couldn’t help myself… I thanked her. Personally I remain an imperfect flexitarian due to environmental factors of working in a place which serves leftovers to staff.

Why ween? Just go full force.

I'm considering that option once the book arrives for the best stratagy.

That is great. When my former partner and I came to the US we discovered NPR and heard a lot about the problems with red meat. We started to wean ourselves off of red meat and then meat in general. It took a couple of years to be fully vegetarian. After we split I continued on and am now mostly vegan. Have not regretted it for one second.

I watched Earthlings, and transitioned from vegetarian to vegan in 1 minute. Never regretted it or looked back. And it has become way more mainstream now than it was back then. People at work thought I was weird, now they tell me how many vegetable meals they eat.

@Melind And industry is paying attention. There is almost nothing that can't be replaced with a plant-based substitute.
