My local farmers market is always packed, has tiny isles and can not be navigated without kindness... I love Don Victorios’s farmers market... packed with the best produce and not expensive... if you are vegan you need a place like this.

Yucca, I make it now and then... it’s a root, use it as you would a potato. Remove the skin with potato pealer, cut it up and boil it, make a garlic olive oil sauce to pour over it. Nice on the side with rice and beans... I think of it as Cuban but it’s used all over the Caribbean... good deep fried or boiled.
@ArdentAtheist Interesting. Yuccas grow here and I have several in my yard. Must be a certain kind grown for the root (maybe related to the yam. I will ask around about if it can be grown here.
