I have not eaten any meat in 5 years. Being vegan is not hard, really the same amount of effort as not being vegan... just had to learn to do things differently. As a result I feel healthier, I lost weight and have drastically lowered my carbon footprint... I always eat delicious food and for those that say they can’t afford it, have you seen the price of meat?

Eating out is the tricky bit... most places have at least one option. I don’t mention that I’m vegan, I order what I’m having and that’s it... they know I’m vegan but I don’t like to make it the topic of conversation. Almost any Asian place has somthing for you...I do understand why it’s hard, still for me...meat triggers migraines so I have pain to keep me on track, that helps... but do your best to live your convictions... and if you aren’t perfect be kind to yourself... no judgment, do your best, vegan is to do better not to be perfect,
I haven’t eaten meat in 10 years. And I don’t miss it one bit. Now I enjoy cooking and baking and experimenting with my food. I did grocery shopping this afternoon and I thought yeah my bill would be so much more if I added meats and dairy. I got all that I need for delicious meals and made it under budget.
