I've been writing a cookbook for about 100 years and MAYBE one day it'll be finished. IN THE MEANTIME, I just perfected my recipe for Vegan "Eggnog", so thought I'd post a couple of photos, just for fun. It's absolutely out of this world, 100% vegan, tastes VERY much like the real thing, is thick, sweet, rich, creamy & delicious! I ADORE real eggnog, but haven't had any in over 10 years since first going 100% plant-based. I've really missed real eggnog, so I couldn't be more excited about FINALLY creating this recipe. By the way, REAL eggnog, whether it's homemade or store-bought, is generally between 18 and 28 grams of fat per 1 cup (8 oz.) serving, loaded with saturated fat and cholesterol. Mine is cholesterol-, saturated fat-, and is LESS than 1 gram of fat for an 8 oz. serving! (It's TRUE!!!) I GOTTA get this cookbook finished and "out there", so I can pass my recipes along the world. Anyway, hope you enjoy the photos.

Maybe post the recipe here for the purpose of marketing lol

Hey there "Cutie"....The book is nowhere near ready for marketing, otherwise, yes, that WOULD be a great idea, and one I plan on using if/when the time comes. But that time is not now, unfortunately. I do work on the book EVERY SINGLE DAY, but it's more complicated than the average plant-based cookbook, which is contributing to it taking so long to get "out there". Anyway, thanks so much for your thoughtful comment. I will DEFINITELY use that technique when the time is right. I just wanted to at least share the photos. I realize it's not enough, at the recipe NEEDS to get out there, but it would be suicide for me to do that before the book is at least NEAR completion. My ingredients and techniques (especially with recipes like this "eggnog" one!) are, I believe, fairly revolutionary, and I want to wait until I publish to send them out to the world. But thank you again, so much, for your thoughts. I DO appreciate it!

Looks great! The commercial almond milk egg nothing is okay but lacks the richness of the animal-based egg nogs.

Hi Jeff! Thank you for the compliment! Yeah, that's one of my main gripes with the commercial vegan "eggnog". That "richness", creaminess and "body" you get with real eggnog just isn't there with most of the brands. And if it is there, it doesn't taste ANYTHING like real eggnog and either too sweet or not sweet enough. I worked hard for this recipe to possess ALL of those characteristics and still be at least REASONABLY reminiscent of "the real thing". And it is! Of course it's not EXACTLY like it, but my standards are pretty when it comes to the "faux" products, and, as unbiased as I can be, I really LOVE this one!....Have a good day Jeff, and thank you again for taking the time to comment!

That’s awesome. While I’m not as into eggnog as you I do like it as a Holliday treat and have not had it in maybe 5 years. I hope you finish the book🙂

Thanks "Ardent"! I appreciate your comment! And, yeah, I hope I finish the book too! The older I get (69 today!...YIKES!!!), the more impossibly overwhelming it seems. I've thought about just giving up on it, but I DO believe these recipes can actually HELP people be healthier, especially when transitioning from the Standard American Diet to vegan, especially a LOW-FAT vegan like I've been on for 10+ years. So I'm NOT throwing in the towel! Anyway, guy, thanks again!!
