Hey All - I produce tofu, tempeh, soy yogurt, and yuba = Farm Foods llc. Any flavors, varieties, recipes, comments on these foods? I love getting feedback and if you're ever in Mid TN - stop by The Farm and take a tour! We were the largest hippie commune in the US until it fell apart in the early 80's. Now we're just a little community trying to keep some sanity in crazy TN.
Teriyaki, Iām not a potential customer, but think the flavour would go well with tofu especially
Teriyaki goes with just about everything.
What's yuba? I've of the others, but my spell checker hasn't heard of yuba either LoL
Yuba is a wonderful vegan delicacy. It's the skin on warm soy milk (probably forms on other milks as well) that's full of protein and good fats. Unlike tofu it crisps up easily. It's used as a "skin" on many vegan foods that you want to have a nice crispy exterior. There's a great vegan restaurant in Nashville that uses it every weekend to make make fried "eggs" = The Wild Cow restaurant.
It's also a great baking ingredient - look up Yuba Knots. I roll the sheets up and bake them with cinnamon sugar. It melts in your mouth . There's a great company called Hodo Foods in CA that makes noodles out of yuba. That's next on our list of products.
You can buy it pretty cheaply as Bean Curd - dried and needs to be re-hydrated. I don't like this so much but it's convenient
