I don't try to eat all raw, I don't think it necessary. However, this is a good guideline anyway.

Serious question, how are you disinfecting the raw food to avoid things like ecoli etc? I love raw veggies and fruits, but am hesitant (especially leafy greens) because I know of no way to clean them to a mind calming degree.

I just rinse my veggies well with water and have never had an issue, have been eating organic where possible since people have labelled it.
I have to peel carrots though as find it too difficult to get all of the soil off. My parents don’t peel their carrots, but seem to have stomachs of steel 😉 (never getting ill from foods).

You can also throw all your veggies in a sink full of water with vinegar and let soak. And then give them a brief scrub and dry them off. Most fruits as well. Cuz even if they are organic, you don't know who or what has handled them, or sneezed on them in the store or shop.

Rinse veggies very well, soak in water vinegar salt solution, then throw them in boiling water for a minute or two... I wouldn't soak my veggies in the sink though unless you thoroughly clean the sink first.

@Cutiebeauty Does vinegar actually kill bacteria?

@Cutiebeauty doesn't everyone keep their sink spotlessly clean??! Yeah, I know, me neither.

@CommonHuman yes it does and and so does hot spicy ingredients like Cayenne peppers and such

@Cutiebeauty Neat. Thanks!
