Bats are not to blame for coronavirus. Humans are. And, more specifically, humans who are not vegan.
"We are increasing transport of animals — for medicine, for pets, for food — at a scale that we have never done before," said Kate Jones, Chair of Ecology and Biodiversity at University College London.
"We are also destroying their habitats into landscapes that are more human-dominated. The chance of more zoonotic spillovers into humans happening is higher because we are degrading these landscapes. Destroying habitats is the cause [and over 75% of global deforestation is the result of animal agriculture], so restoring habitats is a solution."
"The underlying causes of zoonotic spillover from bats or other wild [and domesticated] species have almost always — always — been shown to be human behavior," said Cunningham. "Human activities are causing this."

More diseases like coronavirus are expected to occur in the future as a result of human behavior, and developing a vastly expensive vaccine for each is not a realistic, responsible, or lasting fix.
The only realistic, responsible, and lasting fix (for this and many of the other pandemics plaguing the world today, including climate change, species extinction, and the massive enterprise of degradation known as animal exploitation, is a radical change in human behavior.
We must stop being the selfish consumers of the Earth and start acting like the responsible citizens of Earth it's our duty to be. We must start by becoming vegan.

I'm not so sure about this... I'll reserve my opinion until I research this idea
You and I are on the same page. A book I am reading now "Veganist" highlights that all our infectious diseases have come from animal husbandry. The really sad and stupid thing is this needn't be. We don't need to eat meats!!! It pisses me off to think that someone else's eating habits are creating so many problems not just for me but the whole planet.

I’m glad someone else was on that same page. Most don’t comprehend this dilemma. Food choices don’t have to contribute to cruelty.
@Wildgreens I would go further and say they shouldn't lead to animal cruelty. This issue is as upsetting for some as religion to the christians. I can always expect blow back when talking about food choices but don't care. My late partner was a vegetarian when we met. After moving here and learning more about this issue she became even worse than I but she did convince several people including her own sister-in-law.
