Certainly at the very least they could have given the folks that worked with our military and other civilians more time to get out of harms way, instead of leaving them to be hunted and slaughtered. I don’t think my expectations are unrealistic either....

Of course it is, they always are. But after decades of helping to “build” a stable government and military, the Taliban took back over in a matter of weeks. For the Taliban to take back all the cities and the capital in that short of time span, either we did the worst fucking job ever of preparing them to confront the Taliban, or the Taliban met little to no resistance. I’m guessing the latter......🤔 Truth is, the war was started under false pretenses anyhow, and we had no business being there to begin with. If anyone helped finance 911, it was the saudis themselves....
