@Athena I’ve never visited Toronto, but have been to Victoria Island, Montreal and Quebec City. I don’t think there’s a great difference in daylight hours between Toronto and Montana, where I live. I have lived in Texas and New Mexico, where winter days have more daylight, but they don’t experience the longer summer days that we get in the North part of the globe.

@greyeyed123 I may be wrong, but in the senate I think Republican seats are fairly secure due to the way they have gerrymandered their districts. Trump has been a useful idiot to the obscenely wealthy, and now that they own the Supreme Court, the presidency is far less important.

@germangirl90439 My paid days off are 🤔 My paid vacations are 🤔 I usually work 20 days and then take 10 days off, which is nice - I’m not completely deprived of time off. I do think the US system needs LOTs of improvement! Particularly with healthcare.

I think 3D printing will be a game changer. Once the technology becomes common place, if people don’t have the type of printer they need at home, they’ll go to a specialty printer store to have whatever it is they need. Localized manufacturing will will replace retail stores.

I had to operated an overhead crane at one job. The buttons on the controller were marked “right and left”. The trouble was right and left changed with the direction you were facing- absolute regencies such as north and south would have been helpful:)
