@Captnron59 Interesting comments. I don't have statistics, but I am pretty sure that most gun owners do not live in isolated houses where they have to defend themselves against wild animals.
Some statistics reveal that many criminal activities show some connection with guns.
Now it could be argued that "criminal", whoever they might be, also just want to defend themselves against the tyranny of the state which would make them your allies.
