@Surfpirate during a period of one of the worse times in our history while we were financially supporting and arming terrorist groups, engaged in a near complete destruction of what was the largest city in Syria, Aleppo, at that time, do I need to remind you what he said when he was asked what he would do about it? With our government, military, and CIA involved in creating these groups to create a false civil uprising, along with these weapons and terrorist eventually taking them to join ISIS killing thousands of innocent civilians and using them for shields, a presidential candidate by all means needs to know what Aleppo is. It's not an is! It's a where! So when a potential presidential candidate ask, "what is Aleppo" quite frankly, he should have been shot in the head right where he sat! All those factors I mention above in this issue are basic knowledge for a presidential candidate to know of going on around the world. This case was the main story line and had been for weeks. And his ignorance to it was as loud as the bombs doing the killing and the children screaming and crying. This didn't make Gary Johnson go crawl in a hole denouncing his candidacy as it should have. A week later he crawled out onto another news stage and went deer eyed when asked to name a world leader he admired or liked. He was so god dam stuttering paralyzed his running mate sitting beside him had to start flapping his lips. And those that continued to support him then are the very reason we have what we have today. And will have after the next election cycle. Cognitive dissonance and managed perception. She actually gets under my skin at times as she constantly only gripes about American politics while her own country is in bed with the same establishment and deep state her country serves. Those 2 parties are playing us. They have an agenda to keep us divided as they strive towards the same goals. And the media helps them do this. Over 90% of our media is owned by 6 mega billionaires that contribute to those 2 parties. It's really a system of managed perception towards making us believe how they want us to see the world, while they slowly move us in the direction of perpetual world war and take control of as much of our aspects to life as possible. And a large part of that entails shrinking the middle class and dumbing down the population with false repetitive news. Also keeping any sense of a socialist country to succeed, in which you have the situation there is in Venezuela. That is why Robert Parry left main stream media due to the strife he faced while covering the wars in Central America. You can read about him here. https://consortiumnews.com/2018/01/28/robert-parrys-legacy-and-the-future-of-consortiumnews/ If you go back to the Reagan administration and take a careful mind towards where we are today, you can get a sense of how we now have basically 2 republican parties. And each president since then has not only failed to practice their policy claims as they ran for office, but merely carried on the same agenda. More wars, less freedom and rights are the 2 most devastating results we have gotten. Growing inequality and politics that really only serve the rich, worse, the most wealthy. Both parties are working to take us backwards. Here's an article from Caitlin Johnston. But you can search my post and find about the same story from other writers and journalist that tell this same story in other ways. If it wasn't late I'd be glad to do it for you. Or would this weekend digging up some of them for you. I just happen to be up late because I can't sleep. This news today has me feeling really disturbed by the MSM and populations reactions. You assumed you knew I was a Fox supporter. I explained that was not the case. Now you throw Trump at me as though I'm a Trump supporter and or support his policies. Again you assume wrong. You are attempting to devalue me in the same manor the article brought to light that MSNBC attempted to devalue Glen Greenwald and Jill Stein. By attacking me rather than the issue in the article you have committed the same political problems we face I find people are programmed to produce. No! I staunchly promote independent new sources. As I, in other words, stated above in my initial post, 90% of our main steam media is a systematic program used by our government and the 6 people that own that 90% to manage your perception to what they want you to believe. The article above is simply that measure in which MSNBC used against Glenn Greenwald to devalue his work to their followers with false information. As he also explained they did to Jill Stein. Jill Stein was attacked with the most vicious falsely manufactured propaganda machine by all main stream media news sources during the last election cycle. If it wasn't for people like me, most Americans wouldn't even know she exists. And the media used their power to make her as little of a threat in the elections as possible. Fox is every bit as bad as MSNBC! And you actually proven part of my issues with main stream media. And fallen right into their trap. Because I posted an article that brought out the light of how MSNBC conducts themselves towards others with valued opinions, by manufacturing lies, you instantly assumed I'm a Fox follower. Even though I stated clearly in my initial post our media has an agenda. If you had simply clicked on the link I provided to my group here at the bottom of my initial post, you also would have found more information on my agenda to lead others to better news sources and out of the main stream medias illusion. Just as it goes with democrat and republican, so it goes with news sources. They keep you divided and trapped in that "you have to be one of them or the other". I'm against both corrupt parties and both MSNBC and FOX. There are better alternatives to both our politics and new sources.

William_Mary replies on Jul 1, 2018:
@Paul4747 I get what you're saying to a large degree, but that's not entirely correct. As I spent the last couple of months of 2015 and 2016 on social media getting Sanders, quite unknown at the time, especially with my age group and up, out and noticed, I seen and helped a lot of those republicans in their quest to chance parties to vote for him. Which is one of the reasons I'm so angry towards him! There are a lot of republican people, mostly upper age, basically trapped in a generation gap of history and belief that don't like their party. And the fact that there were so many republicans willing to change their party affiliation to vote for a socialist is astounding. They're still voting for something that just isn't there anymore! Voting for an ideology that doesn't exist. I and many others argue that the compromise you're speaking of doesn't exist either. It's not meant to exist is our argument. And the politicians speak of it is window dressing. It's a trap, and quite frankly, I find what you and I are doing now puts us in to it. We will also argue, and quite frankly, you seem to be making the same argument, the god dam system is already broken. It isn't a system for the people, it's a system for the establishment and deep state. Why would you even suggest people stay and vote for people they don't like!?! Trust!?! I can just see me voting for Hillary Clinton with all the history of neoliberalism and lies I know about her. That would essentially make me complicit to her war crimes and tolerant to, and to her lies and corruption against the very thing I was working against during the primary and election cycle. Yes, it's been argued for years. But don't you think that with somewhere in the figures of 45% to now I think 48% of the population registered as independents isn't a sign of change? I think it was at 48% during the last election cycle. depending where you find the numbers. Progressives and green party candidates are having considerable effect on winning positions this primary cycle. It's changing! From the bottom up right now. Because people like me and our pundits aren't giving up. It took 4 decades to get here, it's going to take, hopefully less time to sweep it away. People like Nader, Hedges, Abby Martin, Robert Parry, Jill Stein, etc have all worked within an establishment and media blackout. But with social media we have recently been able to bring them out and start a movement that can speed up the process. I seen it work to a degree I still find astounding just in my republican voters remark above. Hang in there Paul!

If you live in an area you can't vote as an independent, help the fight to change that. Even if you don't want to change. Those that live around you deserve the same rights as you! Today is a prime example of what she is talking about. With republicans in charge of all 3 houses they are undoing quite a lot of what the weak ass democrats have done or failed to do properly. That's by design! I would say Jimmy Carter. But his flaw also was being forced to play inside the agenda. The very agenda that took him out on his 2nd run via corrupt secret Iranian talks to keep Americans as hostages to make him look bad, and then falsely make Reagan look like a hero. Outside of the Kennedy's, Carter may have been the last person trying to escape the hold of that shadow government that's really running our country. I could go on for quite some time about the Carter effect. Solar energy, the Saudi oil, the failed hostage rescue, Iran-Contra from the Rumsfeld-Iran secret talks. I take a lot of flack for this opinion, but you can easily find the facts to a path to my opinion. Carters only flaw was that he was in a place and time when they were ready to make perpetual war the main agenda. He was merely in the way. I quit voting to lose because of Obama. His first 2 years was as much an eye opener for me as Sanders first 2 debates. Were tired of hearing about your dam emails was as catchy as, yes we can. All we got was, no went wont, and silence to more of her corruption via emails. Gordon Lightfoot says it perfectly. Sometimes I think it's a sin When I feel like I'm winning when I'm losing again. I think about politics every time I hear that verse. And the people that refuse to want to win even though they have half a mind they're voting in a corrupt system for corrupt politicians on both sides that serve that same one entity that doesn't give a shit about us. Until all those who know this quit thinking like that, and power vote to out the establishment, they are just as guilty of holding back the country. But they need to quit being drawn into believing they can bring change in that system which is only there to trap them into the infighting. I may even be wrong about Sanders. That's fine if I am. Because I'm following through on what Sanders told us about. The democratic party is corrupt and serves wall street. It will not change. Those are his very words. And that is still being proven today even after all the exposure of 2016. And just as he also said, don't go by what I do, take the movement and keep it going. What little is getting done inside that party can staunchly be expanded outside it and help it a hell of a lot faster. We are losing when people think they are winning! We're running out of time. I voted to lose, yet what I voted for is growing. Therefore I am winning.

Warren is just another mouth piece of the illusion. Reich did the same thing all through most of the primary. Spoke up Sanders and why he should be the candidate. Talked down Clinton from his time as part of the Clinton administration and the flaws it created. Then in the end like so many other mouth pieces, gave lips service to Clinton. News flash! There was another choice out there. A real progressive candidate that champions peace people and planet. I went by way of peace people and planet. Jill Stein of the green party. @CockadoodleDoo evidence! I don't know what more you need! You're stating the evidence yourself and can't see it. Ocasio-Cortez's is quite inspiring, but she's in a party within the very same corruption Sanders spoke of. Without others to back her up she will most likely be silenced and ignored much the same as Sanders has been for decades. It's going to be a constant up hill battle for her because she doesn't have green party people to help her. Kyle Kulinski, a Young Turks affiliate. How did Cenk work out for us? He turned that group into another fake news source. Say one thing and vote the other thing. Marvelous. You're trying to sell me he's not a sellout when everything that happened tells us he did. You are admitting the party is corrupt while asking me to support it. Seriously!?! Instead of providing me a statement I already know, "Plus sooo many people unfortunately always vote Red or Blue, they don't have the time or inclination to seek out 3rd parties." you should be asking yourself why that is. Which is why I'm fighting against it! And the media, 4th estate, that should also be fighting against it rather than for it. And you. I'll tell you why. the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) have rules designed to block alternative-party candidates from debating? Because of Jesse Ventura's 1998 independent campaign in Minnesota. Ventura was dismissed as "not viable" with a tiny percentage in the polls until he was allow to participate in a gubernatorial debate. His poll numbers soared and he went on to win the election. When the CPD (controlled by Dem & GOP leaders) saw what happened in Minnesota, it raised the requirement to 15% in the polls in 2000 so that Gore and Bush wouldn't have to face Nader and Buchanan in the debates. The CPD's rules aren't meant to block nonviable candidates. They're meant to stop alternative-party candidates from becoming viable. After Obama's surprise win the democrats weren't going to take a chance of Clinton losing again. So they put in what they thought was the least likely opponent, who made a deal, as we later found out towards the end of the primary, to go soft on her. They made one big ass major mistake, miscalculation though. They had no clue that so many people would actually get behind a socialist! People switching from the republican party to vote for a god dam socialist!?! In swarms. Independents where needed switching to democrat to vote for one. The millennial movement! Those charges were made in an attempt to split the party, for them to vote towards a progressive nature over a corrupt system for the likes of wall street and corporations. You in no way shape or form have it both ways in a sincere reality. Sincere being the key word here. Sanders became just another jab for the democratic party towards the 2 party system. They are every bit of responsible for what is going on today too. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to help make a real difference to change their party affiliation to the green party as the only real progressive party supporting the people peace and planet. During this present primary cycle the green party in Ohio has almost doubled. This is from a facehack post. ( In Ohio Green Party voter affiliations sit at 7,353, up from 4,200 prior to May Primary. During the primary election, 1,297 previously Democratic Party affiliated voters, 896 previously Republican Party affiliated voters, 1,747 previously unaffiliated voters, and 143 first-time voters all requested and cast a Green Party ballot.) I was one of the unaffiliated voters. I know it doesn't seem like much, but look at the diversity of those switching parties! I saw the diversity during the 2016 primary as far as republicans go. I was on facehack trying to get support for Sanders before and all through 2016, helping many republicans make the switch to either join the democratic party or independent party if allowed in their area to vote as such as an independent. I was honestly astonished how many republicans were ready to vote for a democratic leaning socialist! Along with the higher age groups that were among them!!! People are tired of the status quo! We have to keep this ball rolling and get the word out to make a real difference. It rolled for that dam con artist Sanders and I know it can roll for the green party. 2016 was the year we said enough and we almost got to the top. But the corruption beat us from within our own movement. Now its time to take both these dam corrupt parties out.

All one needs to do is look at this immigration issue. Threats of going into Venezuela will do what? We already have this issue from our interference in Latin America since the 50s. Turning Venezuela upside down will send more here! Even if you managed to get the right wing opposition back into power alone, sending that country back to the times before Chavez will essentially create more immigrants fleeing a backlash of repercussions for supporting the present government. Yet no one is examining the real cause to the issue.

I am hardly a Trump fan, but it seems to me it is not any particular President's Military in that, we have been bombing multiple nations in various places around the world for decades. The military machine may need a President for some things, but over all, it marches to it's own beat.
William_Mary replies on Jun 23, 2018:
You hit the nail on the head Seeker! It's not any particular presidents military. The military belongs to corporations and the worlds most wealthiest ruling class serving their agenda. And the kids and family members within are paying the ultimate price at times for them. For a systematic retaining of power, resources, and to mask the failing capitalistic structure that has reached its end life. It''s either continue the status quo or move to a socialistic structure that would give more power to the middle class again. And they'll run the gantlet to its dying end before admitting they've been wrong all this centuries. Or give up any degree of their wealth.

Can you be more specific? Just what is "all of this?" If you have insight to a certain reference of information within the article, we would all be grateful if you were to find it in yourself to better educate us! Hell, even to just point out what it is that you think is bullshit and I'll do the fact checking myself. But there's nothing in this article that independent journalist haven't been putting together for a few years now. The relationship between product selling using manipulation to manage perception and its relevance to political managed perception has been a discovered analogy for sometime now. And both party's playing within a joint effort to continuing the same policies from administration to administration is clearly not mistaken. I can see where one might get a little hazy from the Clinton administration into the Bush administration, but clearly we have been working on the same policy agenda from Bush up to the very present Trump. When most people manage to step out of that illusion of managed perception, filtering in from the Reagan era tends to start clicking in most peoples minds. Then working your way back though the decades of Latin America come into play. That step does entitle moving from main stream media as an only source of news though. If that's your only source of news this might be a hard adventure for you. Finding out the world isn't what you actually thought it was, or your country, is a rather rude awakening. I see you have "free thinker" in your profile. Please become one! Step out of the Matrix!

I would suggest looking to see if you can do that online, but I have heard of way to many people with stories of that not working out well! When it comes to a change of address or changing party affiliation, I would strongly suggest going to the board of elections and do it in person! And making sure of the time line to get either done before the next election. And, hi Norie. It's very nice to see you here! Thank you for joining.

@Norie the guy doing the debunking works for Abby Martin. Some of the video above is from their time spent in Venezuela covering the most recent riots, false reports of all news in Venezuela being government owned, markets being empty with hoards of people starving, currency on the black market effecting the economy. There are many reasons why Venezuela is in the way it is today, and none of it is as our main stream media tells us. They didn't mention Kimberly-Clark. Also a corporation involved in the known toilet paper issue. The government actually had to go into the company and take it over. The company was claiming they didn't have material to produce. When the government went in the warehouse was well stocked for production. It's a nationwide problem with private corporations adding fuel to the economy woes wanting to go back to their hoarding before the Chavez revolution. You might also find that video of interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUYWrPiUeWY If you're finding Abby's work interesting you can find it here at her Empire Files site. http://theempirefiles.tv/ You can also join me in my quest to get actual real independent news out to us here in my group. William_Mary comments on Jun 7, 2018:
If you want to screw gerrymandering vote outside of the 2 party system. Most independents don't participate in the election cycles because their interest aren't addressed or they refuse to be a part of a rigged system. Give them a party worth voting for and gerrymandering will not be an issue.
William_Mary replies on Jun 7, 2018:
@EdEarl gerrymandering only works within the 2 party system. When you have nearly half the population registered, and or claiming to be independents, who most of don't vote, along with all others that feel their vote is useless, overwhelming the 2 party system with a collective vote if given a reason to get out and vote, you basically eradicate gerrymandering. If their system is based on registered republicans and democrats, which was at 26% each during the last election cycle, don't you have 48% of the population out of the system? I would imagine when broken down by state you'll get close to the same percentages? I know here in Ohio our supreme court just ruled they have to redraw the lines to a fairer manor. What ever that fucking can be LOL. I can't find any information stating whether registered independents or non affiliated voters are or are not a part of drawing lines though.
