I'll second that. Another one is babies laughing uncontrollably. Gets me every time.

Kid giggles are THE best, even when those kids are grown.

Wow!

Zster comments on Feb 17, 2018:
My great grandmother used to say "Hash hopper!" after anyone sneezed. Even the net has not helped me figure that one out... I had a friend whose relative cursed by saying "oh meebersneep!". He used it as the name of a band in college. (;

I would love to think of it catching on! She was a great lady. (:
He's nothing fancy or exotic by any means, but this was the best, coolest, funniest, most loyal bird...

A couple of red-browed finches feeding, & one making peek-a-boo!
RavenCT comments on Feb 18, 2018:
Pretty birds! Lucky you. We'll have our purple finches coming back and goldfinches too - when they decide Spring is going to arrive. It's snowing tonight. (sigh)
Zster replies on Feb 18, 2018:
Your purples and golds are probably down here eating every bit of seed that I put out! I've got tons right now, possibly due to gathering migrators.
Does anyone pay any attention to the match percentage?
Zster comments on Feb 17, 2018:
I notice them in passing. Occasionally, I'll click on a high % profile, just to see what's up. Many times, there are big points of divergence from mine. I am not sure what the good match is based on... I have better luck clicking on the profiles of people who make comments that draw me in, TBH.
Zster replies on Feb 18, 2018:
Proof of how closely I was paying attention! Maybe the 1% is the cat/dog thing. I love California. There is always a danger of my staying whenever I've visited.
It seems like these days people on here are more interested in posting and browsing than inboxing ...

I own a book that is about rural expressions. I love the title of it but have never heard someone actually say it: "Well butter my butt, and call me a biscuit!"

I hear that one quite a bit in Georgia!

Are doctors getting kickbacks from pharmaceutical outfits?
Zster comments on Feb 17, 2018:
I have worked for four different big pharma companies. Accepting any favors or offering any from/to the medical community, tegulatory agencies, or patients is illegal. All employees have to train and sign an agreement to not get even remotely involved in such every year of employment.
Zster replies on Feb 17, 2018:
WTF dude? The companies call it "The Code of Conduct" or something akin to that. HR or Legal keep track of it. Read up before accusing people who know of lying: https://www.google.com/search?q=pharmaceutical+kick+back+code+law&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en=safari

Two California Kings and a Pituophis? Gopher- or bullsnake?
Zster replies on Feb 17, 2018:
Yep. The bull and old Cali were left by a friend who needed a pet sitter. Both are very interactive with the people in the house.

wordywalt comments on Feb 17, 2018:
Just level with her. Tell her that her extreme religiosity is making you feel very uncomfortable and that you do longer wish to go on the trip.
Zster replies on Feb 17, 2018:
This. I would seriously be leaning toward not going, but do feel honesty is the best policy here.

Fantastic picture!! I am glad to hear that the snake(s) was/were rescued. I love garter snakes!
Zster replies on Feb 17, 2018:
I grew up in a suburb of Indianapolis. It might have been the suburb part more than the lattitude that hindered the critter populations. I met my first snake, a yellow bellied ring neck in a more wooded part of IN. In GA, the lizards sold as pets in IN (anoles, skinks, fence lizards) are wild and numerous! I positively love it!

A screen enclosure... you just set me to thinking/plotting! Thanks! I figured the adults did not eat, a sad but efficient part of the large silk moth life cycle. I used to raise Cecropias from you caterpillars that I caught. Such fleeting beauty. Sigh.
