My Dad had a fun story about a friend of his. Omar worked with a woman; they became close friends. He finally got up the nerve to ask her for a date. She consented. Date day, he drove up to her house. Got out of the car and approached the house. As he was about to knock, a cat appeared in the window, then a second. He looked...considered...turned...walked back to his car, got in and drove away.

I been in one large-gap relationship. I was 50's, she was 20's. Cross-cultural. We were great together but she decided that together, she could not have the life she wanted. Complicated. We love each other as always, continue to be best friends. She is married with one baby(another on the way). We visit often when I am in China.

I would think that on a site like this we would hear from more who understand the underpinning of religion on society and reject the many behavioral myths along with an almost unanimous rejection of their basis. Although many express deep hatred of religion, some feeling damaged, still a pretty "moral" group. This is not serious criticism. I am a bit surprised at what I see here, but I am still here and enjoy the interaction.
