Since 1962, when our parents bought the house, it had been a gathering center for thier 7 kids, all for the most part, staying based in the Seattle area. Ma died in 2009, dad in 2017. As executor, I sold the house last summer. Disintegraton begins swiftly. One sister to NC, another to OK, one brother to Asia soon....no plans for gathering this season.
Is this what I have to look forward to?!?!

I think I owe Mr Mueller an apology.
seattlepanda comments on Dec 9, 2018:
My two-cents... I would like to commend the Mueller investigation for the extraordinary professionalism shown in the past year. Often, I have felt frustrated by the uninformed speculation of the politicians and press. I would wish for something tangible coming out of the actual investigation. But in fact, the team has operated with unusual discretion in revealing their interim findings. What we get are from investigation press releases, vague disclosures of interviews and timelines, and only what they are required to state in court filings. Beyond this, precious little in the form of anonymous leaks. In retrospect, I greatly appreciate the vacuum they attempt to seal around their investigation of such sensitive and, hopefully soon, explosive findings. My hat's off to Mr.Mueller and his team.
Very romantic don't you think?

seattlepanda comments on Nov 17, 2018:
There are actually two Washington states, Western WA and Eastern WA, separated by the Cascade Mountain range. They are as different as can be. Different terrain, weather, economy, politics. I don't know other states of such distinctive halves. Eastern WA is dry, weather comes from north or south so very cold winters, very hot summers. Relatively sparse population, a lot of ranching and agriculture. There are deserts in SE WA. Western WA is a maritime climate with almost all weather coming in from the ocean. Mild winter and summer temps., lush and green as we get frequent rain. When asked to describe our geography I suggest a popular movie(TV?), "Twilight". Was filmed in our rain forest area, but much of W.WA looks like this. Your geography lesson for the day... ;D
