I met someone I might want to date. We've been texting for a few days. I looked at his Facebook. One of the things I thought might be a problem is the fact that he is religious so I told him I'm atheist. It didn't bother him that I don't eat meat (of which he is a big fan) nor do I care for zydeco music (ugh). But he really freaked out about me being Atheist. LOL. I guess I won't be seeing him any time soon. I sort of understand because some people freak over me being vegetarian too. How do we get past the barrier or do we? It's really difficult for me to be around a "believer". It makes me feel like they are ignorant, which this man clearly is not. Should I stick with the Mensa crowd? Not enough of a crowd here who live in my area. I'm just having a real internal battle.

His freaking out about your being an atheist, and you feeling it's difficult to be around a believer, does not bode well for compatibility ...
Not impossible - but why start with that kind of hurdle ?

Who needs it...lol

Go on a date, chicken.

I'm a chicken and proud of it. Not really. I've just been down the same road before.

carpe diem...enjoy what is enjoyable in others...assume any relationship will end soon, if it doesn't we're pleasantly surprised...

The problem is I have already spent my life being unpleasantly surprised.
