The most egregious church\state violation I ever saw, 20 years ago almost to the day. The sign was clearly of municipal construction. I wonder if it's still there.

Just for the record, anyone can purchase a sign like that and any sign company can make a sign like that. Just because it looks like the municipal sounds doesn't necessarily mean it was paid for with tax dollars. Plenty of historical site signs, church location signs, no parking signs that look like that, are on public property but we're paid for by private organizations. I used to own a sign company, I made or ordered plenty of them.

Just putting the info out there, not defending the message by any means.

Right. And if the sign is not on private property, the city should take it down.

As someone who was ordered by civil court into religious family counseling to convince me that my mother bringing an out of state creep to live with us was the lords will, I can assure you there are more egregious church/state violations goin on.

I did a Google search couldn't find anything regarding whether it was a municipal sign. It could have been made that way to make it look official. If you have a moment, Google it and what will come up is unbelievable. I shouldn't have done it so early in the morning as it put me immediately in a downer mode

No wonder this country is such a mess

That's shocking.

With that distinctive blue and white color scheme, it surely looks like a sign that was paid for by taxpayer dollars. Unbelievable.

Agreed... if the sign was indeed paid for by taxpayer dollars. I tried googling about it but couldn't determine one way or the other in the 4-5 minutes I devoted... I'll leave this quest to some other intrepid soul out there! 😉

Over 20 years ago and you can not drop it yet?

Not if it's still there...

There are no statutes of limitation on ethics

@LenHazell53 Or religious imposition!

@LenHazell53 We will find that out with this administration even if in the past "Fumbling Fathers" got away with Slavery and Racism and Keeping females down as second class citizens not able to vote or own property, sadly to the point that some them "Founding Fathers". How many women signed the constitution? How many signed the declaration of independence?

Dropping it is exactly what they would want someone to do. "Move along, nothing to see here."Meanwhile........

@GipsyOfNewSpain
