Most of my life, I was under the impression I am a cis, hetero woman. I kept trying to reconcile, in vain, my thoughts and behavior with this contradiction, while struggling against crippling dysphoria.
I blamed myself for not being strong enough to do what seemed to come naturally to my assumed woman peers, even though I had zero interest in doing any of it.
