I see Donald Trump has called for the G7 countries to re-admit Russia to the group, so that it again becomes the G8. (Russia was thrown out after it forcibly annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine.)
Is this further proof of his links to Russian involvement in his political career?

I hear the other six countries are considerign dropping the U.S. and just going on as he G-6, because Trump is such an Ass hole.

Or possibly Trump is considering banishing all the existing members, enrolling Russia, and continuing as the G2 😉

@Petter Yeah... He is a big enough of an ass to try that too.

@snytiger6 He might even include Kim Jong-Un and make it the G3 at this rate.

@Petter Yeah, that occurred to me this morning when I heard about the "meeting". My feelign about the North Korea agreement is that it is all show and very little if any substance. It was a single page "agreement" which means it was not so much of an greement but rather a staement of intentions, as no details were laid out.

@snytiger6 It is a ploy to boost his ratings before the mid-terms. Nothing more.

And I sincerely hope they tell him to piss up a rope!

He'd probably think he could.

Yes ...Trump seems to have Russian interests at heart. I wonder if they are blackmailing him?
I suspect that after the Putin/Trump summit, Trump will agree to remove all the sanctions on Russia.
Here is something I wrote a while back on sanctions....
Russia invaded Crimea and Eastern Ukraine so President Obama levied the sanctions.

Exxon-Mobile and Russia wanted the big deal to drill for the 7 Trillion dollars in oil in the Arctic region of Russia's north shore. With global warming the Arctic ice has been melting and now this area was now going to be open water to drill. The Russians needed Exxon Mobile because they had the equipment and technical knowledge to drill in Arctic regions. Also the Oil Tankers to transport the oil.

With the sanctions, this deal was no longer possible. The Russians knew if Hillary were President they would have problems. But I think the Russians had a relationship with Trump from his hooker episodes when he was running the Beauty Contest in Moscow. I think they "owned" Trump because they loaned him money for Real Estate when American Banks wouldn't touch him because of his Atlantic City Casino bankruptcies. So the Russians colluded with Trump to make him President so he could remove the sanctions. They were successful in getting Trump elected.

Trump made Tillerson CEO of Exxon Mobile, Secretary of State to cement the deal once the sanctions were removed.

Manafort, Page, and Flynn.... even Kushner and Sessions were all enlisted to work the deal for Trump to remove the sanctions so Exxon Mobile ,Russia, and Trump could make huge money on the oil.

As an added "benny" Trump worked against the EPA, the Paris Accord, auto efficiency standards, so renewables would not undermine the market for carbon fuels.

This is all theory that was suggested by comments from Cable news.

But an interesting "conspiracy" theory, none-the-less.

We will have to see how this process evolves. @Petter

How much more evidence do we need?

Of course. It is abundantly clear that Putin has his hooks into Trump so deeply that Trump, himself, is a clear and present danger to our democracy, our country, our principles, and our people. Anyone who continues to support Trump is condoning treason and betrayal.

No - he wanted all wanted them there because they are a world power.

Who are mis-behaving extremely badly. The US has ostracised many countries for decades over mis-behaviour, so why is Russia being treated differently?

@Petter Because ultimately Trump wants world peace, and he has already placed tough sanctions on them.

I dont' think that Russian oligarchs which are basically acting like organized crime shoudl be given more access to power.

@gater Sanctions which he wants to lift in order to allow Exxon Mobile to drill there, because they have the expertise needed for drilling in the Arctic. Guess who is a large share-holder?

@Petter Really? Its always about money?

@gater is King. anything else is usually a side effect. You might say it is "beneficial collateral damage."

I believe so.

Sure seems as if...
