Does anyone else make random road trips based on landmarks or names of places?

I've got my google map chock full of stars for places I want to go. In May, I just did a road trip of 1100 miles because I could. Sometime in September, I'll probably do it again.

Does anyone go on adventures just because? Anyone else want to met random travelers for cofee/tea? Are you willing to show a wandering fool around some of the sites in your area?

There is a Hell Michigan, but that is more of a winter trip.

I am always up for a side trip during long drives. The side trips around Indianapolis; I don't know if it is still there but there was a Lego store and a Barbie store downtown Indianapolis, of course we had to stop. We went to the gravity hill just south of Indianapolis a few years back, it was a worthwhile diversion.

Hell Michigan is where I went. Then east through Michigan and down into ohio, and back west to home. Got to move a lot of places from the "must see" to the "been there" category.

You can now claim you drove to Hell and back.

I have done this. Haven't gone too far though, just to see native american burial mounds in the area around where I live.

I want to see the mounds in st louis.

There are some at Mounds Park in Anderson Indiana. Fort Meigs up in Toledo is good for local history.
