If you look up in the sky and see a bird fly over and do a circle overhead, do you consider that to be a message to you, and if so, is the message from the bird or from "the universe"?

There is no reason to believe aliens have visited us. You mish-mash a lot of various topics and ideas here, sort of validating one with another - when they are really non-sequitors.

The development of churches and the idea of a God as a diversion from aliens seems like a very far-fetched (and unnecessarily complex) plan.

Religion may be borne of ignorance (and maybe) stupidity; but this idea that it is some part of a bigger plan to subvert and oppress, has no basis in reality.

Sorry man... you may be losing some credibility with this post.

You lack real evidence for your belief. I looked at Roswell rather carefully and there was nothing there. What is striking to me from all the reports is the absence of any alien artifact. So I remain skeptical of any recent alien visitation. There is of course the famous passage from the bible(!) "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." Genesis 6:4 KJV
