Interesting read on Gen Xer's. A generation known for independent thinkers who are skeptical of old ways and questions authority... describes me exactly.

I was born in 64, so I am right on the cusp between Baby boomers, and Gen-xer's. It's been odd groing up, and still even through adulthood. I remember rotery dialed telephones, pay phones that cost a dime, leaded gasoline, and such. And yet I was still young enough to grow with the new, for example, I got to listen to some great music through the 80's, and yet I was old enough to know that most of the hits in the 80's were in fact covers of tunes. I could go on, and about how things have changed, and how tec has grown through the years but that could take weeks.
One thing though, most of the I know that I know that my same age are stuck in the 70's or 80's music wise, but I've never been able to live like that. I have always been one of those that looked for something new music wise all the time, I always love to be turned on to new stuff. I hope that never goes away.
