if you had a 4 year old girl who on Christmas eve pried the head off her toy pig, made a tower, put the head on top of the tower, and said she was summoning magic, how would you react?

Seriously, I would find out where she got those ideas from. Then, at age 4, you have ample time to expose her to reason and critical thinking. Having children and wanting them to be the best they can be, is a 40 hour a day job.

I'd introduce her to various pagan friends, esp my first wife, and they'd deal with the various approaches available. And probably start reading her the Hobbit.

I'd buy her a writing desk and a laptop and encourage her to try writing a few stories. She sounds like she has a very fine imagination and might just write a best-seller one day!

I would laugh and probably find some wires and batteries and help her make some special effects. A young friend of mine just wanted a barbie when she was a kid, she got one, horrified her parents by giving it body piercings within 5 minutes. This friend is now 35 with kids of her own, including her goth daughter.

Well if she was someone elses kid I would laugh. If she was mine? I may sleep with my door locked.

lol

Honestly, given the time of year and my attitude toward religion, I would be real hard-pressed not to laugh in delight. I would ask how she got the idea and what outcome she hopes for. Kudos for her nonconformity and creativity! (;
