I've seen the movie before but watched 'Philadelphia' again. Absolutely moving film. Naturally, being the too sensitive person I am, I blubbered through half of it and really started crying when Neil Young started singing 'Philadelphia'. Such a moving and beautiful though simple song.

I loved the relationships among his family...all supportive, all loving, all inclusive of the Antonio Banderas character. (Who, by the way, was incredibly well-acted.)

The very end rips me up. I am not sure that watching it again is an option for me. It was well done, though.

Although I haven't seen the movie in years, I was impressed thoroughly by Jonathan Demme's effective use of the closeup in so many of the shots, in effect confronting the viewer with the narrative's moral stance and depiction of injustice to be righted. And both Neil Young's and Bruce Springsteen's song contributions were moving in an understated, but effective, way.
