Yes! And admittedly, I've become sort of a snob about watching movies at home now. I have my 55" LED flat screen hooked up to my surround sound. Anyone else cringe at DVD quality compared to Blu-ray quality? I can't stand it.

I don't have a problem with watch DVD quality, I still watch movies on laserdisc, and VHS. Only watch stuff on VHS is if it's not available on other formats.

More of a 2 channel geek, but I have a modest ht system with Atmos.

I want to be one, at some point. I heart good films.

I have a 32" flat screen Samsung smart TV on which I watch Netflix, so that's enough home theater for me!

You didn't provide your exact TV model, so this is the best solution I can mock up for your situation. Like Belrieve said, a digital audio cable should work for you.

@Michael64 Ok, new version. The optical cable used to connect these two ports will give you equal if not superior sound to an HDMI->RCA setup. Cheaper too. Though it is possible that the TV image is not your exact setup, because Google shows me alternative backs to that TV. Worst case scenario, upload a picture of your TVs connections.

My friend got me into having a Surrouned Sound System. Not sure what the model I have right now (not a home to check), I think it's an Onkyo 7.2 Audio Receiver. I have some decent speakers, wanting to get some better ones when I have the money.

Do you have issues with it?
