As much as I despise the undue influence of religion. I am against banning books for the dark precedent it would leave. Knowledge by itself is harmless, words do not kill. It is those who take the word as truth who are the problem. By banning a tome we slide closer and closer to the very evil we wish to destroy. A better future would be we have all the bibles in the world but no one give a damn enough to read one.

I would love to see them all burned.

I cannot agree with any form of censorship...burning books is Not a good thing...who decides which ones to burn?!

Banning books, any books, is a horrible thing to do, and quite often leads to even worse actions.

It's the people who are culpable. They're the ones who pointed to these books to abdicate themselves of their own responsibility. Don't fall for it.

Never, hopefully, because book burning and banning is the sort of thing religious people do, not humanists. Intellectual freedom includes, of necessity, the freedom to commit intellectual suicide.
