So... I just jogged past our community pool and it started pouring! I'm thinking, "Good! Rain, cool me off!"

And I notice all the pool people got out and huddled under the porch roof to the shower building to get out of the rain. Yup!

I did another lap and was drenched to the bone but the rain had stopped and the pool people were back in the pool.No kidding! Who says behavior isn't learned? lol.
🙂 🙂 🙂

??? I was on holiday in the South of France, a scorching hot day at the beach. Suddenly, a large dark cloud appeared and dumped tonnes of water on us. It lasted about 5 minutes, and the rain was warm, and the temerature didn’t drop, still scorchio.
Everyone except me ran for shelter. Even the people in the sea ran out and looked for shelter. I could barely contain my laughter. ????

I know some places they won't let people stay in the pool, for health and safety reasons, due to the possibility of lightning strike. Maybe that's what was going on; whether reasonable or not.
Just a thought.

I always loved swimming in the rain in my younger days

That is exactly what it is. At least that's the policy enforced. Whether the mass of water in the pool is a magnet for lighting or not, that's a different question. (@SukiSue)

Swimming pools are lightening bolt Magnets...i am sure they were ordered out!

Well, the pool has no lifeguard on duty but maybe it seemed as though it could turn into a storm?

Aw...But health is everything! A woman I jog with occasionally is 65! If you can't jog, walking is still good. I hear you about body aches. ?

May have something to do with lightening, but it does seem silly.
I've swam in the rain before, in a lake, but got out when the lightening started.

Jumping into is not the same thing as being jumped on.

Maybe they did not want to get wet while they were swimming? Probably Republican voters.
