Why is so much of the New Testament written by people like Paul? After all Jesus was the man with the inspiration. It makes no sense to me that people would listen to the edicts of these later followers. One more thing in the bible that makes no sense.

He told the parable about the king who had his citizens slaughtered who didn't want his son to rule over them, he told the Gentile Canaanite woman that she was a dog who didn't deserve the crumbs left over from what he gave the Jews, he told his followers to give away everything they had to follow him, and to leave their families, even to hate them.
