Does anyone else distrust someone specifically because that person has an "in your face" type of religious personality? I made the comment more than once that if someone told me a certain person was a 'nice Christian man, I'll hold tighter to my wallet". The reason I ask is I was watching my local news last night and one of their news casters is a woman(no name) who always wears her cross on camera. If she's wearing a turtleneck she'll have the cross pulled out and hanging over the turtleneck. Kind of annoying to me. I've started calling her "Dia and her cross". Just thought I'd ask this group who might relate to my annoyance at someone like this this.

It is subliminal messageing subtile little things like that is designed to push the symbol. The cross is a torture device. Romans used it to torture criminals in their day. Why they picked a torture device to worship as their false idiol I don't know might be to install fear into the feable minded.

There is some justification to your perspective. for the longest time religion has been so heavily associated with ethical behavior that the unethical have learned to wear it like a cloak. So... Not baseless.

It is not that I do not trust a theist, I just get annoyed being around one who is in your face with their nonsense.
