You Must assume it is stolen and take immediate action!

If you can't find it, call the bank, put a freeze on it, and ask for your last transactions.

I have done that s many times but it was always either in my pants that i wore or in the laundry basket. it really sucks

Lucky you! Keep hold of the feeling. Once we go to a "cashless society" (To prevent crime and terrorism) and you are handed back your debit card because the terminal says you have a "0" balance you will be prepared. (It has already happened in Ireland where the glitch zeroed every account in the bank for 4 days!)

Try meditating where you relax, sit back, focus only on ambient noise, letting your mind go blank.
Eventually, you aren't aware of the passing of time, and later you sort of "wake up" as though you'd been asleep.
This accesses your subconscious, which remembers everything, and when I do that, I usually soon remember what I'd forgotten, or think of solutions to sticky situations.
