“People don’t have ideas, ideas have people.” -CG Jung
It’s fascinating how the ideas that win out are able to change the way the game of ideas is played. Certain ideas can longer compete in the modern arena, or have to compete in another way. Modern ideas themselves changed the rules of the game by playing the game.
An example of how the game has changed is that violence is no longer the vehicle used to spread certain ideas, rather argumentation is now preferred. Of course you don’t have to play by the new rules, but the new rules are better (for people and possibly also a more effective way to spread the ideas?) any thoughts on my late night ramblings?

What citation can be provided to verify Carl Jung ever said: "People don't have ideas, ideas have people."

Jung's statement is tyrue only for those people who choose to escape from their freedom by allowing themselves to become "true believers" in an ideology. Hopefully, most of us have better sense than that.

Ideas are just that, ideas. sometimes they manifest into action sometimes not. some good, some bad. All determined by your circumstances ?
