What's your all time favourite rock guitar solo?
This morning I went into orbit with Led Zeppelin's Heartbreaker, featuring one of my all-time favourite guitar solos. Right up there with House of the Rising Sun, in my opinion. Enjoy. Nothing like a great rock fave on a beautiful summer Sunday.

The wrap up on queen’s we will rock you is always nice
Prince’s solo on while my guitar gently weeps is the best live guitar solo caught on vid.
BS, it's impressive but doesn't even compare to Joe Bonamassa, SRV, Eric Johnson and quite a few others.
I'm probably in the minority, but I really didn't like Prince's performance.
It annoyed the hell out of me that he did that. I wasn't impressed. Like, at all.
@RobCampbell he asked for my favorite not to guess what your favorite was but you keep on answering for me. Thanks
What a great list of solos and guitarists. Every one a treat! Thanks.
I just did a search and this is a list someone compiled. Every one of these blows me away also. Believe it or not i had forgotten Hendrix' Watchtower.
Jimmy Page/Led Zeppelin – Stairway To Heaven.
David Gilmour/ Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb.
Don Felder and Joe Walsh/Eagles – Hotel California.
Allen Collins/Lynyrd Skynyrd – Freebird.
Jimi Hendrix/The Jimi Hendrix Experience – All Along The Watchtower.
I believe it is Rossington that plays lead on Freebird, not Collins.
Oh yes!!! Hendrix' Watchtower!!!! Also my favorite tune by him
@NerdyOkieDude I love how he drew that out from the relative snippet of Hendrix
Now were gettin somewhere. SRV just blew everyone away - an incredible performer.
Never been into "solos" or singers... as much as into lyrics. Songwriters Great Moments... now you talking!!!
Don't have one.
Now you have some great choices on this thread. LLOL
