So I'm defending them, calling people out, and of course there's a woman that has to make it about her

Ahaha simple right? Well now I've gotten over 25 private messages in the last 4 hours of threats and hatred and harassment and 'fat cow someone should rip your face off' lol
Oh but the best ones and I cannot stress this enough the BEST ones are the 7 that called me a terrible business owner and they hope my business bankrupts and they want to burn my restaurant down.
I at no point claimed nor pretended to be the owner of the Red Hen, but somehow I am suddenly the owner AND anti-vet. Lol.
And I've since returned to the comment and explained that I am in no way affiliated with the restaurant NOR am I bashing all military. Just the ones who committed treason. Lol
Ah well, they just keep proving their hypocritical stupidity

As a veteran, I think it's a fucking joke how entitled and special people think are because they've served. The hero worship that veterans expect is mind blowing. Trust me, we are no better or worse than anyone else.

Thank you that's the word I've been trying to find. I respect vets. I do. I do not respect vets who expect me to bow down to them.
The military mindset is borne of powerlessness and inadequacy. The flags and medals are all they have. It's cultural narcissism.
Everything they know would come crashing down in an instant if they objectively analysed their world view.
They have been used by the establishment to realise the imperialist goals of the ruling class.
Don't criticise a patriotic vet and don't criticise a narcissist.

Something I've noticed is SOME vets (not all) seem to think their vet status makes them untouchable. And to an extent others do too.
I have so many "I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU WOULD SPEAK TO A VET THAT WAY" why? Why is what I said WORSE than Donald Trump mocking them and calling them pussies?
Just to put it out there: vet, 4 years, Army Infantry, peacetime.
When I exited service, I intentionally left all of my BDUs, and my greens, all my kit (save pieces that I wanted, like my mess kit) behind for the next poor sod, or friends, who wanted them. That included my medal (just GCM/Good Conduct Medal which has a great story behind it).
It was a hard decision in the moment but once made, easy to walk away from. It all did, does, mean a lot to me. Still does, but, it's not THAT important. I still have my memories and stories. 
Some of us, many that I have talked to, just feel like we were doing our jobs. Nothing special. The ones who have a chip on their shoulder, they aren't really veterans I can use the word 'honor' with.

I love the ad hominem approach these folks take as a debating strategy. Of course they can get away with it because their "leader" is just as unsophisticated in his approach. But hey, why examine a person's moral choices when you can just label, and subsequently threaten, them? So much quicker. Sheesh! Keep fighting the good fight... you rock!
