Christmas again and I just don't get it. A religion that was patched and cobbled together from everything that was going then the main pitch was fear that you'd go to hell if you broke stupid and arbitrary rules, all slithering away from Rome, all made up by hypocritical old men. It makes me despair. Why couldn't they have kept a couple of the interesting gospels when baby Jesus was growing up and learning all about his magic powers, behaving normally - though the one about making his enemies fall through the ice of a frozen river might have been a tough one given the location. Still, it would have spiced a few long dull Sundays up no end and might even have kept me in the fold. Not really. But it would have taken me longer.

it was Christ-mass. The fable of Santa Claus was a bit more juicy. A malignant spirit would creep into your home and steal your children if they were naughty. The'd be thrown into a bag and be eaten later. There isn't a damn civilization anywhere on the planet, nor throughout history, that wasn't cobbled together.

That's/This is the way it goes; the current winning paradigm. Am hoping folks will become more enlightened with time... A larger percentage of the public realize what a hoax religions are... choose reality instead. But I don't see this happening for centuries to the last 5-10 percent. Easier for people to be sheep, "believe", get led around.

I've just survived an entire Christmas without anyone, at any point, mentioning Jesus or God. We just treat it as a holiday. Then again, I live in the UK and surround myself with enlightened individuals 🙂

all my friends left coz of the blue meanies so well done finding some survivors. we're dotted all over the world
