Among the greatest for sure. Along with Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor and many others. I don't think it's possible for someone to be the best comedian of all time though. Times change. Tastes change. At one point Shakespeare was mediocre. Some day Carlin will be a footnote. Or not.

George Carlin was the greatest comedian ever, his scathing views on society and its flaws were refreshing and honest. Religion is a joke, our vote doesn't matter, and it may look like we have a choice on things, but we really don't
