They say there’s more then one kind of love but I am not convinced. Nurturing, nursing, providing, lust and attraction etc to me seem like extensions to the original feeling. The primary feeling seems very generic but branches off in different directions. Am I wrong?

YES.
Asexuals, and demisexuals like myself, can be also panromantic- able to fall in love with anyone, but without any lust.

Just thinking about sex is revolting, but if I've bonded with someone for well over a year, I can start to feel sexual attraction, as is typical of demisexuals.
