I waited a couple of months before allowing myself to reread the indie Misha Burnett Catskinner series. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to slow my reading speed, I'm already on book three in two days (sigh).

I've recently reread most of the series I own on Kindle (I own 100s of books), so will soon need another book series.

I'd been saving the Harry Potter series for a special occasion, but I might go ahead and reread it anyway, since it's been over a year since I last read it.

I'd been saving it for my two-day flight back to the US.

In the Catskinner series, an ordinary skinny guy, James, who wants nothing more than to run an electric supply store is carrying a dangerous "outsider" alien energy, bound to him by his parents when he was still a baby, He named the energy being Catskinner.

This entity loves to kill, and gives the peaceful protagonist supernatural strength and speed whenever he goes into action..
But whenever Catskinner manifests, he burns so many calories that James has to constantly gorge on junk food to prevent starvation.

James had learned to compromise, allowing Catskinner to kill by taking lucrative hit jobs, while James pretended to run an electrical hardware store.

James thinks he's finally found true love with a stunning beauty, but slowly begins realizing that many of the people he knows, like him, aren't as they seem..

Might be interesting. I’ll check it out at Barnes and Noble. I have a nook.
