It is long past the time where those of us who are awake enough to see religion for what it is to stop pandering to those trapped in it's clutches. We need to stop making apologies for the torment that religion brings upon people and start treating it as the mental illness that it is.

And it definitely is a mental illness. The diagnosis code is DSM-5 297.1, Delusional Disorder.
