I adore Stilton in any form...plain, with mango & ginger (addictive!) with herbs, just Stilton!

What, no raclette? (That's a regional Schweiz cheese that's melted and served with pearl onions, baby gherkins and a small potato--the national dish of Switzerland!) I suppose Emmentaler could be close, but I'm a purist.

Red leicester

I am going to use your map to travel...I try cheeses wherever I visit...I might have to look you up when I am in London...let's do a cheese tour, lol!

It sounds like a good plan

As a child I was on a restricted diet & it was only as an adult that cheese entered my food consumption realm. There is not a cheese I have tasted that I don't like except smoked or processed by a mass production corporation. I live near Monroe Wisconsin where the only limburger cheese producer left in the USA is located. I hope to visit the company. Perhaps with a gas mask.

I should visit my cousin in Wisconsin ASAP ???

I love all cheese except brie and camembert, but my very favourite is a really good, super-strong crumbly cheddar - many people don't rate cheddar highly because they've only experienced the yellow rubbery stuff supermarkets sell, which is a pity: good, proper cheddar is remarkable stuff. Stilton is a close second, with the best I ever tasted being one bought straight from the farm where it was made from unpasteurised milk in Snowdonia (and, for that reason, it couldn't legally be called stilton); eaten in a sandwich with locally-baked bread and wild garlic freshly picked from beside a mountain stream, it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten.

Do you remember the name of the farm?

@Redunicorn I don't think I ever knew it - we'd just wandered up a track and an old woman asked if we wanted to buy some cheese! It was probably Llantffwschllrddgochcwm or something 🙂

Yes. Not sure about the UK but love all cheese

I love brie, but I'm allergic to cheese with a mold rind. Mascapone is delicious
