I find it really hard to believe these things. There are so many fraudsters and tricksters out there, and the history of archeology is littered with people making things up. It would take some seriously strong proof - perhaps some alien artifacts - to convince me these stories had any truth to them.

Yup. I've read the Sumerian texts. It has the same stories as the ones in the Bible, but written 2000 years before the Bible was written, and from the perspective of the Sumerians, who claimed to be aliens who genetically engineered humans to work in the gold mines.
