So on today's menu is a beautiful beefy roast, seasoned with montreal steak seasoning, a1 and worshertershire(or however you spell it). Cooked with potatoes, onions and carrots and when I was putting in the vegies, I decided to dice some bacon and put half a pack in the crockpot.

Have heard the crockpot is good for something like that. There are tricks to cooking larger hunks of meat. Have heard searing at high temperature seals the juices inside. Marinade works good for a bit chunk would think it might at least 24 hours.

You would be correct. As a culinary school girl, I can agree that marinating at least the night before helps a lot. I like to experiment but I also learned a lot from my mom too and her from her grandma, cuz I wasnt into cooking when she was still alive.

But I can make biscuits and dumplings like a boss.

@Transprincess Most thing I cook, I do it old school trial and error. I can make beef stroganoff without a recipe. Would like to get some venison. I had it cooked before for me. It was as not so good. I was thinking of soaking it in a bitter beer them some sage and chervil roasted with portobellos and capers.

@azzow2 could possibly work. It's quite gamey if you don't season it well enough. I only ever get a chance to get any when my dad manages to get out and put one out of its misery. Lol

@Transprincess My kids want to go out hunting archery would need to take some help my back won't let me play as hard as I once did.

@azzow2 im not much of a hunter. Biggest thing I killed was a puppy and that was with a car on accident. I don't have the cold resistance for deer hunting. XD barely got the heat resist for fishing, what with my sensitive skin.

I can't help with that. XD

@Transprincess One of these days sunscreen for hunters will be invented. I am just picturing a ton of SUV's with arrows protruding from the entry doors from people that have been hunting deprived lol. Can't hunt with sunscreen on it is a dead give away for your position when trying to be stealthy.
