Sad! Very sad, but this is what is running our once great nation which is now in rapid decay

When this was written the country had a lot of space. It is no longer so. Also, at that time, there were 2 places, Angel Island and Ellis Island (in the vicinity of the Statue) that screened new immigrants for diseases, criminal records, mental handicaps and so on. Too often it seems some are advocating for an open door policy which is insane. Our present immigration policy is so screwed up that people feel they have no recourse but to vote in a maniac in order to bring in some changes. Immigration should be about policies not people. It should regulate conditions under which all people, citizens and immigrants must live. It no longer does so. In case one thinks this is a conservative issue one needs to know under Obama there were more deportations then ever before - and that came from a Latino immigration layer.
