I want to speak my mind on this one.... Your written comment nailed it right on the head. "Promote union, tolerance and collaboration" its all nice up to that point and I agree, we must unite now more than ever. But then the gas chambers reference in the meme... That takes the discourse back to not so helpful comparison.

Agreed. But we live in a reality tv society where the most entertaining clown gets elected. Intelligent, inclusive people don't make for good tv.

It becomes far worse when the politicians begin to realize that they can collude with wealthy private interest groups in order to line each others pockets with the large majority of the collective wealth of the country. Once this happens, the whole system has become rotten with corruption from its core to its surface.

I think that's happening with immigrants, North Korea and Russia. Our leaders are teaching us to hate.

Divide and rule is the oldest trick in the book.

I'm not very optimistic that will happen. I know it won't happen as long as conservatives hold power.
