My answer was sarcastic, but since you enquired, both sides actually offered freedom to slaves who escaped from masters who sided with the enemy.
The British kept their promise more consistently although some former slaves, distrustful of the British, stayed behind and started their own colony. They were eventually captured and returned to slavery. Those who evacuated were freed.
Yep.
After first clearing out the country with genocide.
