That's the thing. 45 was actually really happy with the job Pruitt was doing. He was carrying out 45's agenda, and doing it quite "successfully", therefore, making 45 happy. The ONLY reason 45 soured on Pruitt was because Pruitt's extravagant spending, and other examples of malfeasance, were made public. That made 45 look bad because it ran counter to his whole "drain the swamp" mantra. Pruitt is as swampy as they come, but as long as no one knew about it, 45 was fine with it.
Now, he's got to find someone else to carry out his agenda of lifting all regulations for corporations that won't be so blatantly corrupt.
Shouldn't be too hard. He knows all the 'best' people.

It'll probably be Wheeler, Pruitt's second. He's a former coal industry lobbyist so he'll pick up right where his boss left off and continue tearing down the EPA. Won't miss a beat.
