As soon as we make certainty, we are expressing ego. The nature of the higher self is to be certain in uncertainty; to mimic the paradox of the universe.

Everyday I try to approach things with "beginner's mind" -- stay curious.

When humans express certainty, we are meeting a human inner drive or need -- the formation of attitudinal and ideational anchors which are stable points which, m in turn, enables us to form relationships and patterns of meaning.

@Adamantium What I am speaking of is a lot more than you describe. It is simply the biologically based cognitive drive to make sense of our world. You should read the works of Jean Piaget -- the preeminent cognitive psychologist of all time.

I wish there was a way to detach the ego... But I suspect it serves a fundamental purpose connected to us being social creatures.

@Adamantium

But the ego is also a pain in the ass. It makes editing one's own writing ten times harder.

I'm too dumb to have ever written this but I think this is gold. Goes hand in hand with my favorite quote. "Knowledge is knowing you know nothing"

I wouldn't say you are dumb either. I would however say it reads like meaningless, Depak Chopra woo woo to me.

@Adamantium Yeah, let me know when you have an argument for your woo woo and not "educated" responses like, "Wow, you are dense."

@Adamantium Still no argument. Just more "educated" responses. Are you going to call me a poopyhead anytime soon?

@Adamantium If only we could get as much effort put into providing an argument as we get put into "educated" responses like "make guttural noises while scratching your head". Apparently these "educated" responses are all we can expect. But then making an argument is difficult where as asserting woo woo takes all the cognitive ability of a toaster.

@Adamantium Yup, just as I thought. Nothing but asserted woo woo.

@CaledonianWolf, @Adamantium I think by saying it was woo woo he was actually being humble.. Much like me admitting its nothing I can come up with its alittle over his head.. But when u made him feel like he had to defend him self this became an argument.. U guys are cool both of u.. Just figuratively shake hands and move on

@Kingtomthebomb False
