We are becoming a much less tolerent society and I find it extremely worrying. When politicians such as Trump continually make policies which point out and emphasise the differences we have rather than making policies which would unite us, this “them and us” rhetoric inflames certain types and leads to incidents such as this. It is called divide and rule or scapegoat politics. If you always have “ the other “to blame for all your woes you don’t see what a shit job the politicians are actually doing! It has been used throughout history and a recent example is that of Nazi Germany.
