I'm filling up my watering can and watering my plants. It gets me thinking... Why can't love be like this? We fill ourselves up with love and pour it out on someone and they grow. How simple life could be.

Maybe the challenge is, that humans are not stationary in the ground , waiting to be watered. You have to hunt one down first, that you really like, then tie 'em down real good, and hope they don't drown from all the water !

Sadly,there's War,Greed,and Power seeking people who take our high ideals and throw them in the trash. Maybe the lust(?) for possessions,beyond what's comfortable for the average person,fuels their drive?

That is exactly what love is.

And I think why so many marriages fail? A lack of growth...? Failure to thrive?

@SukiSue Perhaps taking each other for granted? Especially if both Parents work two jobs,to keep the mortgage, and the car payments,insurance and all the "Toys" the kids have,the bond of being a couple starts to dissolve?

The closest I got to that was fooling around in the shower..but we did grow.
