Going to Walmart, (there is a dog treat crisis here in the house). I always go early on Sunday to get there before the Christians get out of church.

We dont' shop at Walmart. Mostly because of their labor policies. However, we are told that their prices have crept up, while the products they sell are still of the lowest quality.

Yes, prices have increased. I only shop there because we only have a WinnDixie in town, and they are very expensive. When I do shop Walmart, I always try to encourage the help to Unionize.

@wiesendanger2 Well, I guess there are similar situations all accross the country. There has been so much corporate consolidation that most of the country has only three or less grocery companies (monopolies), they can go to, which does not leave much in the way of choices of where to go. The lack of any real competition is raising food prices everywhere in the U.S.

In our area, we do have the choice of Winco, which is an employee owned store, which helps keep prices down a little.
