Cybernetics is itself a science; it will therefore not "overtake science" but continue to advance as all science does - provided we don't enter a new dark age or get wiped out by an asteroid or anything like that, of course.

@iamnemore Cybernetics is a combination of many different sciences including biology, engineering and medicine. A physicist once told me that the science of sciences is physics, because "it's how shit works" - I think she had a point.
