SO...
The House of Representatives passed a bill that say RELIGIONS THAT ARE GETTING INVOLVED IN ELECTIONS CANNOT BE INVESTIGATED BY THE IRS UNLESS THE HEAD OF THE IRS APPROVES IT....
Really...
Gee....
So when did they flush the Constitution and BIll of Rights down the toilet?
Golly.....
So why do Churches get this "DON'T GET INVESTIGATED" by the IRS card and you and I do not?
Sounds like discrimination to me....
Think this is a way the "religions" are getting around the Johnson Amendment?
Sounds rather underhanded to me....
What is your take on this?
I mean...how is it that you pay income taxes, property taxes, and the such...
And religions don't have too ...nor do they have to follow the IRS codes when dealing with non profits....
Hummmmmmm

If they want to repeal Johnson Amendment it should apply to all NPOs.

It's getting all kinds of pre-revolution France in the US lately. Bolstering the power of the First and Second Estates on the broken backs of the Third Estate by way of infesting the Fourth Estate with loyalist agendas to maintain a current power structure.

Can't say I'm fond of taxes to begin with, but being the average citizen has to pay it's only fair for the federal government to do the same with religious organizations.
